Detection of noises and friction linings of marine gearboxes

First, the gearbox vibration

1. Check whether the fastening bolts of each installation connection of the marine gearbox are tightened.

2. Check whether the installation accuracy of the input coupling and the diesel engine flywheel, and the output coupling and the propeller shaft meet the requirements.

Second, the friction plate

1. Check whether the marine gearbox clutch is combined with self-locking and whether the position of the operating mechanism is standard.

2. Check whether the friction plate is tightly pressed. If the pressing force is not enough, please refer to the manual for debugging.

3. Disassemble and inspect the friction plate. If it is worn out, or warped or deformed, or the surface is damaged, it needs to be replaced.

Third, noise

1. Check the tooth surface quality of each transmission gear of the marine gearbox.

2. Check whether the friction plates of each bearing and clutch are intact.

Fourth, the oil temperature is higher

1. Check whether the clutch is working normally, whether it is slipping, burning, and other abnormal conditions.

2. Check whether the moving parts are stuck.

3. Check whether the oil level is normal.
