Use and installation of outboard motors

The outboard engine can be used normally under the following environmental conditions

(1) Atmospheric temperature -5～40 degrees Celsius

(2) Relative humidity is not more than 85%

(3) The temperature of the water surface (0～5m) of the outboard motor is 2～30 degrees Celsius

Requirements for operators

(1) The operator should be familiar with the operating procedures of the outboard motor, the traffic rules for water navigation and the channel conditions.

(2) The maintenance and maintenance of the outboard motor should consult the technical personnel of the outboard motor or read the instructions of the outboard motor in detail.

Installation of outboard motor

The installation height of the ship's stern plate and outboard motor

The applicable stern board height range for short-axis outboard engines is: 380～450mm

The thickness of the stern plate: 40～±50mm

The correct installation height of the outboard motor is: the vortex prevention plate of the outboard motor is 0～25mm lower than the bottom of the hull

The installation height of the stern plate of the outboard motor is determined according to the size of the vortex generated at the tail of the outboard motor and the speed of the engine when it is working. If the installation height of the outboard motor is too low, the water resistance will increase, which will affect the working efficiency and speed of the engine. Overheating, insufficient cooling water supply, and damage to the body.
