Inspection Of Outboard Motor
1 Before the installation of the outboard motor is completed and ready to start, the following inspections should be carried out on the outboard motor:
①The amount of lubricating oil in the underwater transmission.
② Gasoline for running-in --- the mixing of the oil and the connection and installation of the fuel pipeline and the fuel tank.
③The fastening of the outboard motor on the stern plate and the watertightness of the bolt holes in the underwater part.
④Check whether the steering linkage rod and the fastener are connected reliably. Fully steer the rudder several times, check whether it is convenient to steer, repeat shifting and adding or subtracting the throttle, check whether the shift is in place, whether the remote control handle and the engine carburetor are synchronized, and check whether the carburetor idling position and the accelerator can be fully opened.
⑥Check whether the steering wheel steering of the rudder equipment is consistent with that of the ship.
⑦Check whether the battery is fully charged and fixed reliably; the connection of the battery cable and the laying of each line and the installation of the instrument.
⑧ Check the working condition of manual or hydraulic lifting device.
⑨If it is an automatic lubricating oil mixing system, fill the lubricating oil tank with oil and drain the air in the lubricating oil injection system.
⑩Check the low level of lubricating oil and high temperature alarm system of engine. lv Check the correct selection and installation of the propeller.
2 Inspection of the outboard motor during start, operation and after operation:
① Check whether the empty starting safety interlock device is effective. This device ensures that the engine cannot be started when the engine is in gear.
②Check the working reliability of manual control and electric control choke.
③Check the water discharge from the drain display hole during operation.
④Check the working conditions of the tachometer, lift meter and other instruments.
⑤Check the setting of the idle speed fuel and air mixing ratio screws.
⑥Check the setting of the idle speed and the idle speed screw and adjust the engine to the idle speed required by the manual.
⑦ Fully steer the rudder left and right and check whether the throttle and shift mechanism control system is light, applicable and reliable.
⑧ Check the reliability of the reversing of the outboard motor and the reversing locking hook to prevent the outboard motor from turning up when it is reversing.
⑨ Check the reliability of shallow water navigation and power trim control mechanism.
⑩–Check for rudder deviation when navigating, and adjust the position of the heading balance adjustment plate if necessary.
–Check the ship's navigation state during high-speed sailing, and adjust the tilt angle of the outboard motor if necessary.
–Determine whether the maximum speed of the ship is within the specified range when fully loaded, and determine whether the ship, engine, and propeller match.
Check the reliability of the shutdown switch and emergency rope shutdown switch.
–After the outboard motor is shut down, check whether there is oil and water leakage and whether the propeller nut is locked.
